Summer time faux glow tips!

Hi everyone…well here we are half way through summer and half way to Christmas I might add!  I hope you are all staying cool and enjoying the longer days that summer brings.  We have been in a relentless heatwave here in LA and I am trying to survive it!

I am not a sun worshiper at all.  Those days are behind me and I am all about the SPF, sun hat, beach umbrella and shade!  So needless to say every summer I have to figure out how to get a faux glow going with my fair skin.  I want it to look natural and just give me a slight bronzy radiance under my foundation.

Here are my four favorite products to use for giving my skin a healthy glow, using them to adjust the shade of my foundation or using them as a liquid bronzer on top of my foundation.

The Giorgio Armani liquid summer is definitely splurge worth and carries the highest price tag at 64.00 .  I purchased shade 90 and was terrified when it arrived because in the jar the shade is not pretty.  However on the skin it give the most gorgeous summer tint to the skin.  I can see why it’s such a fan favorite.  It is formulated with SPF 15 and is 1 oz.

The Cover|FX Custom Enhancer drops in Sunkissed give just that, a fresh sunkissed summer glow.  It’s not orange, it’s not brown it’s just a true neutral and can be added to foundation, primer, serum, and moisturizer.  This retails for 42.00 for 0.5 oz, which in actually makes it the most expensive of the four since the others are a full ounce of product.  This one flew off shelves this summer faster than the runners at the Olympic time trials.  And I think your best best to get it is to get on the wait list over here.  Thanks you Beautylish for offering that helpful service!

This summer NARS brought us their iconic cult classic bronzer Laguna in liquid form.  I resisted the hype for awhile and I wish I would have bought this sooner.  It’s beautiful and has a subtle sheen to it that gives the perfect subtle summer glow.   Liquid laguna retails for 40.00 for 1 oz.

My final pick for liquid bronzers is the Benefit Dew the Hoola soft Matte liquid bronzer.  The formulated their beloved bronzer Hula into this liquid tan.  Because it’s matte I think this is the best to contour with if you are looking for a product to do double duty.  It’s also the most inexpensive option of the four.  At 28.00 for 1 oz  you can’t go wrong.
